Ceramic Pharmacy Jar, Naples, second half of the 19th century

cylindrical shape with short and slightly everted vertical neck, ring support flared downwards with lowered bottom. White background ceramic with decoration within a blue reserve with a polychrome biblical scene with characters and architecture. Under the body apothecary writing within a blue reserve and manganese yellow foot ring with palmettes on the front. Condition: good, slight wear along the edge above the enamel due to use over time.
