Parade plate, late 19th century

diameter 41 x 4.5 cm
in polychrome ceramic, with a wide brim, short flounce and wide bottom. Back with ring support. Decoration on the brim with harpies and fantastic animals on an ivory background. In the hollow scene taken from the ancient, probably King Midas, within a landscape with characters, satyrs and buildings. Production Metauro area with trace of inscription in manganese under the glaze on the back.
State of conservation: minimal shrinkage of the glaze during firing.
