The Jewellery Department specialises in the buying and selling of jewellery as well as precious stones, through two distinct methods: jewellery auctions, ideal for reaching a wide audience of collectors and enthusiasts, and private sales, reserved for the rarest and most valuable pieces, such as historic jewellery or items of particular artistic value and interest.
Our experts also offer free and confidential evaluations, services reserved for our clients who wish to receive, in a short time, an appraisal of the value of their precious items, with the goal of bringing them to market—both in private sales and in jewellery auctions organised by Bertolami Fine Art. In addition to services directly related to the buying and selling of jewellery at auction, the Department offers specialised services such as gemological valuations and diagnostic analyses in the fields of gemology and jewellery crafting, ensuring the highest levels of transparency and accuracy.
The Jewellery Department explores the world of jewellery and gemology in its entirety, with a look at both the historical and artistic aspects, as well as the scientific ones. This comprehensive approach is aimed at providing expert advice to jewellery enthusiasts, collectors, and anyone interested in purchasing jewellrey precious stones at auction. The Auction House plays a pivotal role in the jewellery market, empowering non-experts to make targeted, well-informed investments while ensuring a secure, transparent, and seamless buying experience at auction, an in ourprvate sales. Our catalogues feature a wide range of pieces: from antique and vintage jewellery to contemporary creations by the most renowned Italian and international jewelry houses. Bertolami’s jewellery auction catalogues offer rich and diverse selections, often including designer jewellery, artisan pieces, and exceptional unset gemstones of particular interest.
Bertolami Fine Art jewellery auctions feature rings, necklaces, pendants, brooches, earrings, bracelets, and parures, as well as other precious items such as cufflinks, vanity cases, and other accessories to be given as gifts or kept for oneself.
The Department always has a selection of jewellery and unset gemstones in various price ranges, that can be purchased outside of auction. Additionally, all lots with a minimum valuation of 1.500€ or more are checked by using the Art Loss Register database.
